Location
The tower is located at 1 State St, Erie, PA 16507 and is open year round with varying hours. Tickets are available for purchase at the Gift Shop & Concession Stand located at the base of the tower. Parking is located along the street leading to the tower. Some at varying street rates.

Bicentennial Tower is located in an area called Dobbins Landing. It is named after Captain Daniel Dobbins. A merchant and captain who sailed the Great Lakes and fought during the War of 1812. This area was home to travel and trade for most of its history. Bicentennial Tower was built in 1995 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Erie.

Exploring the Tower
To climb the tower, you must purchase a ticket at the base of the tower. Souvenirs and snacks are also sold at the ticket stand as well. In addition, there are restrooms and tables available for use. Once a ticket has been purchased, you can take the elevator to the 3rd floor, which is the top of the tower.

Upon exiting the elevator, you are greeted with a view of downtown Erie. The room surrounding the elevator features posters containing shipwrecks of the surrounding Great Lakes, as well as some facts about the tower.

The surrounding area features picturesque views of Presque Isle State Park, Lake Erie, and ships all throughout the lake. On a clear day, you can even see Long Point in Ontario, Canada, 27 miles away!

Surrounding the railing, there are many signs summarizing historical and geographical points of interest. The tower also serves as a great place to bird watch. Many birds pass though Presque Isle during migration and can be seen flying past the tower or at a distance.
