Randyland is located at 1501 Arch St, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 on Pittsburgh’s North Side and is open year round from dawn to dusk. Metered parking spots are available on the surrounding streets. The site is free to visit, but donations are welcomed. There are no public restrooms available.

About Randyland

Randyland is the creation of Randy Gilson. As a Pittsburgh native, Randy has always had a love for art and his community. He has painted nearly 1000 parks and gardens with his street art style. In 1995, Randy purchased this home and started decorating it. At the time, the area was in a rough shape, leaving Randy’s art as a way to spruce up the neighborhood. Today, Randyland serves as a place for people to explore, smile, and show love and support to their community. 

Exploring Randyland

There is so much to see and that you could easily miss while visiting Randyland. Two entrances lead into the yard, but there is plenty to see along the sidewalk and exterior of the house. Guests are asked not to touch the display pieces and that children must be accompanied by an adult.

The display takes ordinary objects often set aside to be trashed and gives them a new life. Wandering Randyland feels like you’ve been sucked into an I Spy book. From instruments and chandeliers to mannequins and plastic toys, there is no telling what you could see next!

Randyland is also home to the largest Welcome Wall in America. A collection of over 140 unique languages that are featured on signs that all say “Welcome”. Each one is decorated in a style that depicts that language’s origination or country. 

Randy also has a small gift shop available with things such as t-shirts, mugs, and small trinkets for sale. Items are available to purchase via the honor system. Donations and proceeds from the merchandise go towards upkeep and additions to the property.

The exterior of the property features painted bricks, vintage signs, and a custom-made map of the local community showcasing nearby places to visit. Nearby attractions such as the Mattress Factory and the City of Asylum are within a short walking distance.
