Directions and Info
Linn Run State Park’s main parking lot is located at 40.168665, -79.233341. From this lot, visitors can access the many trails, falls, and is open every day of the year, from sunrise to sunset.

Exploring Adams Falls
One of the park’s most enchanting features is Adam Falls, a 15-foot waterfall where visitors can stand behind the cascading water! By following the Adams Falls Trail, it’s easily accessible from above. Visitors can carefully climb down the side to go to the base of the falls. Use caution as the rocks could be slippery.

Beautiful Hiking Trails
The park boasts 6 miles of hiking trails that each offer its own unique experience:
- Adams Falls Trail (1 mile): A moderate loop that leads to the waterfall, passing large boulders along the way.
- Flat Rock Trail (0.5 miles): This easy trail runs parallel to Linn Run and leads to the remnants of the McGinnis Rod and Gun Club.
- Grove Run Trail: (4 miles) A difficult loop that becomes progressively steeper as it follows Grove Run upslope, offering a more challenging hike.

The McGinnis Rod and Gun Club Ruins
Along the Flat Rock Trail, hikers can explore the stone ruins of the McGinnis Rod and Gun Club. Built in 1922, this lodge was part of a state initiative encouraging city dwellers to establish weekend retreats. Though it was destroyed by fire after two decades, its stone walls and fireplace remain, offering a tangible connection to the past.

Picnicking and Cabins
The park features two main picnic areas, Adam Falls and Grove Run, both equipped with picnic tables, playgrounds, and restrooms.
For overnight stays, Linn Run State Park offers ten rental cabins. Nine are rustic, lacking indoor plumbing but equipped with basic amenities, while one is modern with full facilities.

Fishing Linn Run
Anglers will appreciate that Linn Run is an excellent trout stream. The stream is home to both stocked trout and native brook trout, making it a popular spot for fishing enthusiasts.
