Visitor and Education Center
When you enter the Education Center, you are greeted at the front desk and are able to choose a card that is scanable through the exhibit depicting the life of an Army solider. There are several exhibits, but the main exhibit is the Soldier Experience Gallery.

After scanning your card at the beginning of the exhibit, you make your way through learning about the journey a solider would have taken and the training that they would have gone through depending on the time period. The exhibit showcases stories from every major U.S. conflict.

One of the standout features of the Army Heritage Museum is its commitment to interactivity. Many exhibits encourage hands-on engagement, making it a great experience for visitors of all ages. Visitors can practice their marksmanship using video screens and replica weapons, and even be lifted into the air several feet and experience what it is like to be a paratrooper!

When exiting the Soldier Experience Gallery, you immediately enter Ka-Pow Boom! An exhibit that shows the understanding of the Soldier Experience through Comic and Illustrative Art. Here guests are able to view original WWI and WWII comics from Yank Magazine and Stars and Stripes. You are even invited to draw your own comic as well!

The museum also offers several other exhibits including, Animals in the Army, The War on Terror, and Telling the Army Story. Animals in the Army showcases the many animals that the U.S. Army has used and features the story of the U.S. Army Pigeon Service.

Some exhibits such as the War on Terror Exhibit display lifelike situations and may invoke feelings or memories for veterans of the war. Warning signs are located before entering these areas for the courtesy of our veterans.

Heritage Trail
The Heritage Trail is open outside the Education Center hours, but the buildings that you can explore along the trail are only open while the Education Center is open. The trail features multiple exhibits featuring replica forts, buildings, and military equipment. Near the back of the trail also sits a Memorial Garden dedicated to the fallen.

What is most impressive is the amount of detail found in each exhibit. Every war has its place and a story of its significance to the U.S. Army. Walk through the trenches of WWI or climb the tower at a Vietnam Firebase.

The trail is nearly a mile long, but you can spend hours reading and exploring the exhibits. Remember not to touch or climb on the equipment while visiting.

Some buildings feature scenes from the time period. The WWII Induction Center features rooms such as a Barracks, Repair Shop, and Cafeteria that are available to explore!

While PA is filled with multiple battle sites and forts, the trail does an excellent job of showcasing all major wars. The Army Heritage Center and Trail makes for a great stop for any family or individuals who love history or the military.
